In 2020, the acclaimed wavestate brought KORG’s Wave Sequencing to the next level. Featuring the radically re-imagined Wave Sequencing 2.0, the wavestate delivers astonishing, ever-changing sounds with extensive hands-on control. Far from a nostalgic reissue, the wavestate was designed from the ground up for a new generation of musicians, producers, and composers, taking cues from sources as diverse as modular synths, groove boxes, and algorithmic composition.
Taking full advantage of both a new enclosure design and new processing hardware, the wavestate module provides an impressive 120 stereo voices of polyphony. The new 4U rack-mount enclosure has the same controls as the keyboard models, yet is easily transportable and fits neatly into any studio or desktop production system.
Responding to user requests, we’ve also updated all LFOs with options for free running, delayed start, and retriggering, added new modulation sources, and more. A software update will also be available for the original wavestate.
The wavestate module is fully compatible with the sounds and samples of the original wavestate, wavestate mk II, wavestate SE, and wavestate native software, as well as many excellent third-party libraries.
