Your source sounds great..
You’ve chosen the right mic..
Now it’s all up to your preamp!
Enter the Arturia 1973-Pre plug-in. Why do you need virtual preamps, when your interface already has them? Because modern preamps are transparent and neutral-sounding; the sweet-sounding tonal flavor and nuance added by a vintage preamp can have a dramatic overall effect on the sound of your music. Sweetwater engineers — and indeed, audio professionals worldwide — swear by the legendary 1073. The 1973-Pre is based on the revered 1970s 80 Series console module by audio engineering legend Rupert Neve. Perhaps the most coveted (and emulated) preamp/equalizer ever made, the 1073 wrote the book on characterful mic preamplification and punchy “British” inductor EQ. The Arturia 1973-Pre delivers the definitive, harmonically rich sound of the ’70s, full intuitive control in a gorgeous, high-definition GUI.
