Our AirHead is a passive attenuator plug for all types of microphones.
When recording very loud sources such as drums or guitar amps, the signal from the microphone might be too hot. To prevent clipping the Airhead reduces the signal with -15dB. You can also attenuate your signal to crank your favorite preamp. Your preamp is now operating in a higher gain range, so the sonic character of your preamp is more emphasized.
